Skid steers and compact track loaders are the easiest heavy equipment to move. Most weigh between 5,000 and 12,000 lbs and fit within legal dimensions, which means no permits, no escorts, and a much larger pool of trucks that can take the job.
That larger pool is the reason a skid steer often ships on a hotshot trailer for meaningfully less than a full truckload rate. If you are only moving one machine, hotshot is usually the right answer, and it is frequently quicker to schedule.
